Providing an all-in-one solution for portrait photography, the Rapid Box Switch Octa-S & Strip Softboxes with Round Head Inserts from Westcott packs two different types of Rapid Box Switch modifiers with 8′ tall light stands. It also includes two round-head speedlight inserts compatible with the Westcott FJ80 II/FJ80-SE, Profoto A1, and Godox V1 flashes. The Octa-S is ideal for location portraits and weddings, while the 1 x 2 Strip works great for hair, rim, or accent lighting. Westcott also supplies a reflective, all-metal deflector plate to give you a beauty dish-like effect. A convenient bag allows you to easily store and transport the gear.

Westcott Rapid Box Switch Octa-S Softbox (26″)

As the name “Switch” hints, Westcott has introduced a line of softboxes designed for setup and rapid swapping out of different brands of strobes and speedlights in seconds. The 26″ Rapid Box Switch Octa-S Softbox is a good choice for use in the studio or on location for portraits, fashion, or corporate work. The large surface area of the softbox gives its output a wraparound quality especially when used close up. Another benefit is the reflection of natural-looking catchlights in your subject’s eyes. As indicated in the name, the softbox has a basic ring to hold it together, but instead of full speed rings, 13 “inserts” are available and are required for a speedlight or specific brand of strobe. The quick release thumb-lock on the Rapid Box Switch ensures the security of your light. Besides the benefit of speed, the softbox is structurally sound with durable metal framework, heat-resistant fabric, and a reflective silver interior that maximizes your light source’s output.
